Reality Check and TransAsian Axis Podcasts

The Trans-Asian Axis

Well.. haven’t posted here in some time either.

So… updates.

I’m working on preparing the office for a new podcast, same show, same old host (me) - Looks like I am missing show number 8 at the moment. It was on Olav’s machines, and… well, old news we won’t revisit. I’ll look for it on my personal archives though and get that online.

Several new items here.

I’m working with a local talk show host who’s rather well known, his name is “Chuck” - that’s all I’ll say for now, to assist him in getting set up to do a live, real-time streaming internet show. I’m trying to convince him to podcast his daily live radio show for now, and get the streaming going later… but, oh well.

I’ve sent him a couple large messages with information on “how-to” and offered my assistance. He listened to some of my shows and told me they were good, he was impressed. Coming from him, that makes me feel good about what I did.

A few days ago, my wife asked me why I wasn’t doing podcasts any more… since I’ve been busy doing other things I didn’t have time, and just didn’t feel like it. I barely blog these days, except about my boat, and I’ve never even sailed it yet so… this winter is coming on, no boat work, and I guess that I can put together a show a week over the course of the next few months.

Last weekend I rebuilt my laptop, and I’m installing my necessary software, setting up some archives to hold past and future shows so they won’t get lost like number 8 did.

With the new Administration coming in, I’ve decided to get my feet back in the Freedom of Speech Door before someone slams it shut so they will have a harder time shutting down Conservative Talk Radio using the so-called “Fairness Doctrine”.

So, now… my requests.

I’m asking for the Staff here on TAA to give me ideas, format ideas, show ideas, voice overs, whatever. And for the posters here, who’ve not had a chance to be involved…. now is your chance.

I need some people who want to participate and help in creating the programs.

I can do all the work myself, I can do the research, set up the show, do the technical aspects, do the talking, and put it all together at the end… but could use some people that would like to assist.

Voice overs, ads for the site (to help get us some people) - I’d like a nice, deep voice announcer - like a regular talk show has, some music that isn’t copyrighted, a show intro theme song, outro-them song… things like that. Perhaps some graphics for the mp3 podcast “album covers” and so on.

Credits to those who help go into the show information.

Any one interested, contact me here by PM, or send me an email at rickdonaldson [at] earthlink.net (OBVIOUSLY you need to replace the @ symbol in that address!)

Alternatively you can write to “taarealitycheck @ gmail.com” - but I don’t check that as often at present. If I can figure out how to have Thunderbird check it, it’ll be more frequent in the near future.

Three cold and boring months of winter is coming - let’s use it wisely, efficiently and make sure we keep our American Freedoms IN PLACE, not lose them, and not have to fight the impossible to get them back!

Wake up America!

A new administration is about to be in power with promises to raise your taxes, gut the military, missile defense, ignore and even embrace foreign terrorists and terrorist supporting states, remove freedom of speech through stupid “policy changes” to the Federal Communications Commission.

The “Un-Fairness Act” is coming back with a vengence… America needs your help.

The time to fight is NOW - not after it’s all gone.

America in Ashes?

The latest audio message from al-Qaeda, reportedly from Osama bin Laden himself, is only the most recent confirmation that the jihadist threat to the West remains real and deadly serious. But the fact that it could take the form of nuclear terrorism should be most worrying to citizens and policy makers alike.

Folks… the time is coming when this won’t be a joke among some people, it will affect them directly and what will they do? Whine that the “US Government didn’t do enough to stop it” - or worse, “We deserved it, surrender”.

I’ll never surrender or think of terrorism as a joke, and I’ll not put down pen and paper, computer or my weapons until these terrorists are wiped from the face of the Earth.

Free Republic yanking comments!

Latest Articles

A very interesting phenomenon has erupted over on FR today. The site mods are removing any and all comments questioning the newest and most recent “signups”, ALL apparently from China in the aftermath of the 7.8 Earth Quake that hit Sichuan and Chengdu China last Monday.

It is disheartening and even in my opinion ridiculous of the Mods to do this.

Folks are questioning the dozens of new signups who are not asking for help, merely commenting on the problems in China. Yet, we question this sudden in-rush of posters and are having our comments summarily removed.

What has happened to the people at FR? Are they now under control of a bunch of Liberals? Is JimRob no longer in charge?

Stay tuned to see who gets banned next.

AFP: Pandas safe at famous park after China quake: report

China is reporting that over 50,000 people are known to have been killed in the 7.8 Quake that shook Sichuan province on Monday.

On a lighter note, the Pandas are OK!

This, ladies and gentlemen is a reason why we will be at war with China within a few short years - because of this backwards thinking about life.

/sigh.

Cultural Marxism
By Linda Kimball
There are two misconceptions held by many Americans. The first is that communism ceased to be a threat when the Soviet Union imploded. The second is that the New Left of the Sixties collapsed and disappeared as well. “The Sixties are dead,” wrote columnist George Will (”Slamming the Doors,” Newsweek, Mar. 25, 1991)

Because the New Left lacked cohesion it fell apart as a political movement. However, its revolutionaries reorganized themselves into a multitude of single issue groups. Thus we now have for example, radical feminists, black extremists, anti-war ‘peace’ activists, animal rights groups, radical environmentalists, and ‘gay’ rights groups. All of these groups pursue their piece of the radical agenda through a complex network of organizations such as the Gay Straight Lesbian Educators Network (GSLEN), the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), People for the American Way, United for Peace and Justice, Planned Parenthood, Sexuality Information and Education Council of the United States (SIECUS), and Code Pink for Peace.

I highly recommend this piece as the unmasking of Marxism in America takes place. Over my half century on this planet I’ve watched as both a child and now as an adult as we have been inundated by these methods of “political correctness”.

In the past few years as a blogger, and writer on the Anomalies Network, and more recently as a writer and administrator on the Trans Asian Axis web site I’ve found myself at a sort of “loss for words” in describing what I’ve seen as a “Maxism creep” in America. I’ve used terms like “Leftists” and “Socialists” to variously describe many of these people who push this agenda on us and have been shot at (not literally) by other writers for “painting with a broad brush”.

Now, today I feel vindicated in my Broad-Brushing of these people.

I am an American. I do not need to be “tolerate” of other idealism. I do not need to “try to understand” others, nor how they feel.

Arrogant? Somewhat, but Right. Correct.

Political Correctness is an affront to clear thinking, and it is a crime. Why? Because I have my own Rights, my personal First Amendment rights are not different from someone else’s because I am a White male, who makes x-dollars a year, or because I carry a gun, nor because I stand up for Conservative beliefs.

In fact, friends, relatives and enemies - I DEFY any of you to tell me that I am WRONG because your beliefs are different than mine.

No, Americans, it’s time to stand up and fight this pervasive hatred of Capitalism, and fight against those things that try to internally destroy the United States of America.

I would implore each and every reader here to visit the above article and read it yourselves. For once, someone has put it all into one place, so that we might each understand this pervasive, hateful attempt at the destruction of the United States of America.

(Also, I think you should read another article by this author: http://www.americanthinker.com/2008/02/the_materialist_faith_of_commu.html)

‘Report on Sept. 6 strike to show Saddam transferred WMDs to Syria’ | Jerusalem Post

‘Report on Sept. 6 strike to show Saddam transferred WMDs to Syria’ | Jerusalem Post

n upcoming joint US-Israel report on the September 6 IAF strike on a Syrian facility will claim that former Iraqi president Saddam Hussein transferred weapons of mass destruction to the country, Channel 2 stated Monday.

Furthermore, according to a report leaked to the TV channel, Syria has arrested 10 intelligence officials following the assassination of Hizbullah terror chief Imad Mughniyeh.

It would seem that all of the Left’s crowing and blowing about “no connection to terrorists” and “Bush lied, there were no weapons of mass destruction” is finally, once and for all going to be answered somehow.

Furthermore, it appears we might finally have some sort of an answer on exactly what was bombed in Syria a few months back, by the Israelis.

There has been speculation, based on the secretiveness of the mission and the closed mouths on all sides of the issue after the air raid on the site in Syria about everything from nuclear weapons, to nuclear reactors, to WMD. Perhaps we will finally know the answer when all of this comes out.

I think we will wait and see the outcome.

Comments are welcomed, please.

China accuses US of double standards over satellite strike | Science | guardian.co.uk

Well, OF COURSE they think it is a double standard. We asked them to not do this, they said they would, so we said, “Ok, then we will too… there, how’s that?”

Duh… China… STFU.

China accuses US of double standards over satellite strike

China today accused Washington of double standards after the US navy fired a missile to destroy a failed satellite 150 miles above the Pacific.

Beijing - which was criticised by the US and others when it shot down one of its own satellites last year - turned the tables on the Bush administration after the satellite was shot down today.

“The United States, the world’s top space power, has often accused other countries of vigorously developing military space technology,” the People’s Daily, the ruling Communist party’s newspaper, said.

“But faced with the Chinese-Russian proposal to restrict space armaments, it runs in fear from what it claimed to love.”

Earlier this month, Russia and China proposed a treaty to ban weapons in space and the use or threat of force against satellites and other spacecraft.

Washington rejected the proposal as unworkable, saying it favoured confidence-building efforts, US reports said.

At a regular news conference, the Chinese foreign ministry spokesman, Liu Jianchao, said: “The Chinese side is continuing to closely follow the US action, which may influence the security of outer space and may harm other countries.”

US defence officials said they were confident that a missile, fired from the USS Lake Erie, had hit its target, destroying a tank of toxic fuel on the satellite, which failed soon after being launched in 2006.

Video footage released by the Pentagon showed a fireball when the missile struck the satellite, indicating that the fuel tank - containing hydrazine - had exploded.

“All indications are that it was a successful intercept,” General James Cartwright said. The official added that it could take another 24-48 hours to know for certain whether the tank had been destroyed.

The missile was fired at 3.26am GMT, despite earlier reports that the operation would be postponed because of bad weather in the Pacific.

The modified tactical standard missile 3 (SM-3) hit the satellite at an altitude of 150 miles (247km) while it was travelling at approximately 17,000mph.

Two other ships, the USS Decatur and the USS Russell, were close by, and part of the task force, run by the Army Space and Missile Defence Command in Colorado Springs. If the initial shot had missed the satellite, they could have provided back up missiles.

Pentagon officials insisted the operation was necessary to prevent possible deaths following the satellite’s re-entry into the earth’s atmosphere. The craft, a spy satellite, was carrying around 450kg of toxic hydrazine fuel.

The successful launch proved that the US navy’s Aegis anti-missile radar system could be quickly adapted to shoot down satellites.

When China shot down a defunct weather satellite last January, there were protests from western governments.

In the aftermath of the exercise, Gordon Johndroe, a White House spokesman, said: “The US believes China’s development and testing of such weapons is inconsistent with the spirit of cooperation that both countries aspire to in the civil space area.

“We and other countries have expressed our concern regarding this action to the Chinese.”

Downing Street also expressed its concern at the time, condemning what it said was a “lack of consultation”.

The Chinese action was also criticised because of the millions of pieces of orbiting space junk, created by the satellite’s destruction, which could damage other satellites or the space shuttle while in orbit.

However, space junk should not be a problem from today’s space shot though. Because of the satellite’s relatively low altitude, debris began re-entering the atmosphere almost straight away, the US defence department said.

Most debris should re-enter the atmosphere within 48 hours, and the remaining pieces will leave orbit within 40 days.

Scientists and groups opposed to the militarisation of space backed China’s criticism of the US exercise.

Professor Michio Kaku, the distinguished physicist and author of Physics of the Impossible, said: “With a certain amount of justification, the Chinese claim there is a double standard … this latest move can be seen as provocative, since the US has refused to renegotiate and strengthen the 1987 outer space treaty.

“What is needed is a comprehensive ban on the militarisation of outer space … arming the heavens will only put us one step closer to a disastrous war in space that no one can win.”

A MISSILE interceptor launched from a US Navy warship yesterday struck a dying American spy satellite orbiting 210 kilometres above the Pacific Ocean, according to the Pentagon.

“A network of … sensors confirms that the US military intercepted a non-functioning National Reconnaissance Office satellite which was in its final orbits before entering the Earth’s atmosphere,” the Pentagon said.

The USS Lake Erie, an Aegis-class cruiser, fired a single missile that hit the satellite as it traveled at more than 27,000 km/h, the statement said.

Officials cautioned that while early information indicated that the interceptor’s “kill vehicle” had hit the satellite, it would be 24 hours before it was determined whether the fuel tank with 450 kilograms of toxic hydrazine was destroyed. The navy had a firing window that lasted only seconds.

I Am NOT A RINO

I Am A RINO
Today is Super Tuesday.

I made my decision on whom I shall vote.

(We have Caucasus here in Colorado tonight at 6)

I’m staying home.

Screw it. Let’s see what the idiots here do with what they’ve got to work with.

It’s too bad Thompson didn’t stay in, because I’d be working to make him President. I don’t think he has a chance in hell even in a write-in campaign (which is being run as we speak by the way).

What I don’t get is how people can foist liberals on us and think because they have an R by their name, we’ll vote for them.

I look at it this way….

I’m 50 years old and I’ve voted in several Presidential races now, and I’ve been ALIVE for ten Presidents now. (Eisenhower through Bush). I had no influence on any of them save Reagan and the first Bush (because I knew them personally). I have little influence in the outcome of this election.

If I stay home on election day, the WORST possible thing can happen, Hillary Clinton will get elected as President.

Right now, I suspect that no matter HOW I vote, she’s going to get elected (because I think that our party has been INVADED by Liberals to destroy us… and they’ve done a good job). So, people want socialism in this country? They want Liberalism? They want this to lead to Communism?

Fine. Let them.

I’m armed. I’ll fight them when the time comes.

Russia, China, North Korea, Iran and Argentina

The Trans-Asian Axis

I’ve not really had time to write much lately, new babies coming into the family, holidays and just generally being “busy”. So, first I apologize to those of you who were regular readers and listeners to the podcast. For everyone though, today I’m going to address something that is becoming a serious issue in the world today.

The rise of a new Cold War.

America has been the only Superpower - by technical standards - for roughly thirty years. I was in the Air Force at the time Ronald Reagan told Gorbachev to “tear down this wall”. I worked as a Senior Radio Technician at the White House Communications Agency and saw Mr. Reagan as a savior to humanity in those days.

The Cold War ended during my watch - and I lived through most of it as a child, and I clearly remember the “wavering three minute tones” and alarm bells in our schools telling us to hide in our assigned fallout shelters. Throughout the early 1960s this occurred about once per week, along with fire drills and other ‘alerts’ in our school systems.

As a child I recall being terrified at the thought of a nuclear weapon being detonated in Detroit, Michigan, knowing that it would completely engulf the whole of the city and we’d all be vaporized atoms. I knew this because I watched the tests on television and as a child really had no idea how large a blast was, nor did I know that it would take many bombs to do that job. I also knew even as a six year old where the Motor City stood on Communism, and why we were in the gun sights of the Soviet Union.

My hometown, as a child was known for being able to convert every single car production line in every company in those days to “War Production” and could do so in as little as 24 hours. We could build tanks and even planes, pretty much anything the military required and every man and woman on an assembly line in those days seemed to be ready for that conversion. My father worked in a roller bearing factory in those days, and even they had plans to change production lines in the event of war.

Today we have been without the Cold War for many years, and children growing up haven’t had to deal with the scary times we did, until the day Islamic Fascists attacked the United States and the World Trade Center, Pentagon and had other targets in their own sights.

I’m completely convinced that if they had nuclear weapons, they’d have obliterated New York City and Washington DC, instead of just hitting selected buildings. Since 2001 we’ve been at war with Terror, and terrorists.

But in recent weeks the rise of the Soviet Union is evident. Oh, it’s not called the “Soviet Union”, it is called “Russia”. In the past two years we’ve sat on the side lines and watched and listened to Putin and Kim Jong Il rattling sabers. Then Hugo Chavez joined the chorus.

In time, China joined in.

It has become evident to anyone watching the daily intelligence reports - which I know most people could care less about — that America is fast becoming a lone State, standing against Communism and Fascism.

Russia, China, North Korea, Iran and Argentina to name a few, are each growing louder and more raucous each making overt and covert threats against the United States, and by default the people of this country.

On this very day, Russia themselves have been making threats concerning the Missile Defense of this country. Today they are running air and sea exercises right off the coast of several NATO countries. If this is not outright provocative, I don’t know what is. Oh, sure, you say, the US runs Naval Exercises too, and yes we do. And honestly as a many-years-military man I say, fine and dandy for countries to practice their personal defense.

The difference is, the United States isn’t trying to be anyone’s enemy. In fact, everyone, even so-called Conservatives in this country are letting themselves believe that Russia is our ally, and that China is our “best trading partner”, and that these oil rich countries with mad bombers are someone with whom we should do business in spite of the fact that most people of the Muslim faith embrace the destruction of Western Civilization and a return to the middle ages.

China has pushed their space program to the point they are able to put men in space, which is cool, but, they also gained a lot of that technology from the Clinton Administration - and in turn a massive amount of missile technology that has gone into upgrading their missiles, and nuclear attack capabilities.

We have Chinese bases in South and Central America. Putin is pushing Russia towards Communism. Chavez is taking over various industries and threatening to take farms from the farmers if they don’t sell their goods at home only. That’s COMMUNISM folks, in case you can’t remember the details on how it works. The government takes over all industry and dictates to whom you will give your goods, sets the prices and makes sure you still work the farm.

We are at what I call a nexus in history. Many things are coming together to make a massive change, or cause a situation from which no one in the world will be able to extricate themselves.

There are times in history, if you’re a student of history, that you can recognize as many events coming to a point of no return. World War II, World War I, the Korea War, and on and on backward in time for as long as we have written history.

This is the time that George Santayana referred to when he said, “Those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it.” Americans by and large do not remember the Cold War - but some of us do remember it.

Personally, I see this new Cold War as the prelude to World War III. While I currently tend to think of the War on Terror as “WWIII” I know it’s not a war in the conventional sense, and the next “world war” will result in the use of nuclear weapons on large cities, and the Russians, Chinese, North Korea and Iran will be involved somehow.

No, I’m not making a prediction, or making prophecy, but I’m clearly seeing a trend in history, and in current events which can only result in a new Cold War with Communism, and an arms race that will not stop until we begin lobbing nukes back and forth.

The United States needs to stand up, stand firm and show our strength to the rest of the world - we will not and should not back down in the face of rising world tensions. A firm hand and the ability of the next President to understand this will make, or break the United States during the next Presidential term.

God forbid that someone like Hillary Clinton gets in office, or we will simply join the Communists as partners.

Remembering September 11th, 2001

Tuesday morning, 11 September 2001, I’d just returned to work from a previous week out in the field with the US Air Force Reserves, training and evaluating people.

I was sitting at my desk drinking a cup of coffee, catching up on the previous week’s emails that I’d not yet answered. Our Security Administrator came through the Security Door in my area, and looked agitated. In fact, he looked down right sick.

“Rick, we need you in Security. A plane just hit a building in New York,” he said.

I looked up from the computer and said, “BullShit…”.

“No, really. It just happened, we all need to meet in the Security Conference room.”

Shocked, and confused, I got up and followed him across the hall to our security and stood there observing our only, at the time, access to the news sources outside. CNN was showing the Twin Towers and smoke was coming out of it. A few seconds later, live, we watched as another plane slammed into the second tower. I was confused.

“Was that a replay?” I asked.

No one answered. Then someone said, “No, there is smoke coming out of one of the buildings already…” and his voice trailed off.

It was the sudden realization that this was not an accident, and those planes had been directed, somehow, into the two buildings that was leaving our entire Security team stunned. A few moments later, the Director of Security appeared, shaken as the rest of us were. He glanced around the room and said…

“What is going to happen next?”

I normally do not interject my opinion at a time like this since I’m not really a “terrorism expert”, but I have been right about many things. This was certainly one of them. For years before 9-11 I’d talked about this very sort of attack, something spectacular, devastating and evil happening. No one listened, or if they did listen, it was only with “half an ear”.

I reached deep and said, “White House, Capitol Building and the Pentagon next…”.

Silence met my words, then the Director of Security said, “What? Why do you think that?”

“Easy… simple. This is a terrorist attack. They’ve hit America’s finacial center. If it were me, I’d hit the head of government, and the head of the military. The Pentagon, the White House and the Capitol Buildings are at risk. I hope someone else is thinking like me.”

About fourty minutes later reports of “an explosion at the Pentagon” started coming through. The rest is history. Three thousand people died that day, including those who just happened to have gotten on those airplanes that day. One plane was forced to the ground by American heros who figured out what was happening and stopped it before even worse things could happen. It is a reasonable guess that the plane that was forced to the ground in Pennslyvia was destined to hit the White House. Or perhaps the Capitol Building. The latter is a very large target from the sky, as Google Earth can show you, whereas the White House is a bit less dramatic.

Even so, some things I talked about with friends and other site posters in the past actually came true and it’s horrible. People will forget what happened that day, children, those of ours who will someday be “in charge” of the future will not have lived through it and will not understand. Some Americans today want us to “get out of Iraq” and claim Iraq had no connection with terrorism.

NeverForget

Shame on those Americans, and if we let our children forget what happened on September 11th, 2001, or who killed them, then shame on us.

Never forget. Never Surrender.

lgf: Two Arrested with Explosives Near Charleston

lgf: Two Arrested with Explosives Near Charleston

Far be it for me to predict anything bad happening. That just isn’t me. I’m more of a preparedness guy for those things that happen that no one can predict. But in the last few days, there have been some strange and disturbing signs of “things to come”.

13 July 2007 - A counterterrorism expert goes public with this remark: “I predict, based primarily on information that is floating in Europe and the Middle East, that an event is imminent and around the corner here in the United States. It could happen as soon as tomorrow, or it could happen in the next few months. Ninety days at the most,” said Mr. Aviv.

29 July 2007 - Several “Hazmat” incidents in the DC area, College Park, Greenbelt, Naylor Rd, Anacostia, and Takoma Park. Dead birds were found at those locations as well. A black truck was observed to be common to all stations prior to the HAZMAT event for those locations. According to news reports it was a “mistake” by a contractor.

4 Aug 2007 - Authorities closed a highway outside Charleston for more than five hours Saturday night after police found explosives in the trunk of a car, a newspaper reported, citing an FBI agent. The vehicle with Florida tags was driven by two men of Middle Eastern descent.

Authories in Goose Creek - Berkeley County police pulled over a vehicle in a routine traffic stop near Meyers Road and Highway 176 around 6 p.m.Saturday. The vehicle with Florida tags was driven by two men of Middle Eastern descent. Some type of explosives were found in the trunk. Those explosives were detonated after three o’clock this morning.
Two men were arrested, and charges of possession of unlawful explosives are being prepared. Officials are not at this time releasing any additional information on the number of charges or types of explosive devices they found.

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070805/ap_on_re_us/highway_closed

I don’t know about you folks, but I smell an East Coast thing happening, and soon. Explosives being found, middle eastern men in cars carrying them, ‘accidents’ (read: TESTING) happening, and multiple, many, many attempts to pass materials that APPEAR suspicious into checked luggage on airplanes in recent weeks.

Amazingly the AP article above mentions NOTHING about “Middle Eastern Men”. Little Green Footballs made the connection somehow, and as of yet, I’ve got no backup data on it.

But, something is up. Something is going to happen, and soon. I don’t know what yet, but are you prepared?

Summations of Cho’s Ties to Islam

I did not do the work on this, and do not take credit, instead a hard working Freeper has done this. Any notes I’ve made say “RC Notes:”.

The following is his post in its entirety from Free Republic:

The following are ties Cho had to Islam. They are not offered as proof of anything, but merely to prompt consideration or disproof of any links.

Cho’s father lived in Saudi Arabia as a young, single man. His sister works for a State Department contractor which oversees billions of dollars of aid for Iraq. Previously, she worked in Bangkok. (1)

Both of Cho’s plays are about sexual abuse. (2) Bangkok is a city famous for its sex trade, which caters especially to Muslim businessmen.

Cho’s rampage was on Holocaust Remembrance day. Although probably a happenstance, one of the professors he killed was a Jewish holocaust survivor. (3)

Cho used the pseudonym Ismael Ax. Ismael (or, Ismail) is the son of Abraham who became the ancestor of all Arabs, as opposed to Israel who became ancestor of all Jews (4). Although there are many Western references to this person, and many literary characters named “Ishmael,” that spelling is Hebraic. “Ismael” or “Ismail” is uniquely Arabic. Ismaili is also a branch of Shiite Islam (5) (RC Notes: On the FEDEX Package, it says “A. Ishhael”)

In each play, Cho’s characters rant about the horrible decadence of American life. Targets include McDonalds, the Roman Catholic church, Michael Jackson and the NFL. (2).

Cho is from Fairfax County, Virginia. This is also the home of 1 in 8 Virginians, but it is also the home of Yong Ki Kwon, a 29-year-old graduate of Virginia Tech, who, like Cho, is also from South Korea. Kwon was convicted of terrorism, one of the so-called “paintball Jihadis,” who practiced massacres with paintball guns. (6)

Hot Air » Blog Archive » New VTech thread: Victim’s roommate debunks the jilted lover theory; Update: Roommates say he stalked classmates, had imaginary girlfriend; Update: “Ismail Ak”? “Ismale Ax”?

So far, I’ve remained silent on this, choosing instead to watch. For the most part, when one sits back and watches horrors happen, they become desensitized to the evil around them.

Several important aspects of the murders at Virginia Tech come to mind.

The first is that the young man that did this was either deranged completely, or he did this out of some sick sense of terrorism. I choose to believe the latter. No matter what anyone tells me from here on out, any human being that walks into a place with guns a’blazin’ is a damned terrorist. Period. People need to stop associating the word “terrorism” ONLY with Islam.

The second thing coming to mind is that this guy WAS a believer in Islam… making it real, hard core terrorism. His “alias” or whatever you want to call it, tattooed on his arm was “Ismale Ax” (not, as some previously reported, “Ismail Ax”. In examining this, I believe it is his “Islamic Name” which he chose sometime earlier.

The next thing that comes to mind is that over the course of a couple of weeks there were signs of something about to happen and few people did anything at all. Bomb threats I believe were a test of the security on the campus. If *I* were going to do something like this, I would rigorously test security. Terrorists do these things. Folks, we need to start thinking like terrorists to understand them.

Another thing that bugs me, is aside from the one man, a professor who survived the German Holocaust, no one else really seems to have done much to defend themselves.

I’m not trying to second guess what people did in that situation, but certainly everyone when confronted with their mortality choses to do SOMETHING to either A) Meet their maker, B) Fights for life, C) Runs. I understand that some people fled. But only one man, a 70-something year old, threw himself in front of the murderer yelling for people to flee. He’s a hero in my book, and someone that campus should be proud of.

Ladies and gentlemen, 32 people died on that campus, because 1) Guns are banned from the campus — and thus only the criminal had guns. 2) No one chose to fight. Not one person picked up a desk or chair and threw it at the murderer, at least this has not been reported.

Have we gotten so….timid as Americans? Have we all found that the best way to go is to stand there, or sit there and just DIE?

What is it we’re teaching our children? I KNOW what they tried to teach MINE in public schools. Fighting is wrong. Even if someone else hits you, you don’t hit back. That’s not what I say.

I say, if someone throws the first punch, you take them OUT. If someone walks into your school shooting, someone on that campus BETTER be armed. And no, I don’t mean the COPS. I mean teachers, I mean students.

Sure, there are those you can’t arm, because they won’t. But there are probably one or two in each classroom that would. I think professors and students alike ought to be carrying concealed weapons.

This whole thing would have been prevented.

Don’t give me this nonsense that “more guns causes more problems”. This clown got his guns legally, and even if he hadn’t and wanted to continue this, he’d have gotten them ILLEGALLY.

The fact is, that VA lawmakers let a bill to allow students to carry die on the floor.

There’s your second group of criminals. Lawmakers who ban guns without understanding that guns can protect as well has harm and those who need protecting are disallowed BY LAW to carry guns, whereas criminals are going to do it with, or without laws.

The V-Tech murders was Terrorism, plain and simple.

Prayers for the families of the victims.

Update: Why would someone take the time to file numbers off of weapons, and still keep the receipt around?

Why is there talk of a second person? What if there were a second person? (What if this guy was set up? Tell me, has ANYONE come forward and actually identified this guy as the shooter YET? I’ve heard that they were looking for a white male, with greasy hair, pickup truck that had farm plates…..)

Questions. Questions.

Update: 16:48 MDT: Fox News on Brit Hume is ALSO making references to “Islam” in association with the name. So, I’m still waiting on one of my readers to give me some proof that this name is connected to a “video game” (Please see the comments below).

I’m also waiting on one of the readers to apologize to me for his remarks. :) I don’t see that happening, but it’s nice to hope that Leftists will somehow see the error of their ways and admit to them. But, hell even Bill Clinton is trying to get back in the White House.

Update: NBC received a multimedia package of video and other such materials from the murderer. Looks like I was wrong on one thing at least, it appears that he acted alone for sure. However, he did plan this for several days like I thought. It appears that at the very least seven or eight days of preparation went into the video material. He rails against Christianity… over and over, and he mailed the package in between the first two killings and his later rampage.

This “manifesto” indicates just how delusional he was.

He placed 23 video clips into his package. Included appeared to be several he made in between killing the first two people, then went back to his computer and recorded some more video. He apparently changed, and added a vest with ammo (people were calling it a bulletproof vest, but it appears to be nothing more than a cloth ammo belt).

For the most part, South Koreans who come to America are either Christians, or they convert to Christianity. This young man rails against Christianity. Wonder what religion he is now? I really do? I wonder if we will ever find out?

You know, we have had a dozen or more incidents in this country since 9-11 occurred. In many of these incidents the perps were muslims, and yet, authorities in the incidents claim “no connection to terrorism”. In my initial post, I stated that we need to get away from “connecting” Islam and Terrorism. A poster her basically attacked me thinking I was connecting the two (I wasn’t then). But, now, I am afraid that he has put his “manifesto” out, and he has made comments against Christianity. He has used the name “Ismail” or “Ismale” Ax. What do those names mean? We might never know, because authorities in this country REFUSE to connect terrorist acts, like the one that occurred in Seattle at the Jewish Center (for example) with Islam… Even THOUGH that particular perp was indeed a Muslim.

Another such incident was the man who ran over several people in an SUV over the course of a couple of hours, killing one or two of them. His name? This dirtbag’s name is Omeed Aziz Popal. At first the media and authorities tried to hide his name. Then it was brought out. First and last name at first, then a blogger got his middle and broke it. The media had no choice. Guess what else? He was from Afghanistan. Guess what else? He was a MUSLIM. Oh, GUESS what else? He said the following:

“Everyone needs to be killed,'’ Omeed Aziz Popal calmly told officers as he sat in the back of a police car after a hit-and-run rampage that left one person dead in Fremont and 19 injured in San Francisco.

“I planned to kill those people I ran over last night — they needed to be killed,'’ Popal said at one point.

No, NO, no Terrorism THERE huh? Was there a connection between Islam and Terrorism THERE? You betcha there was.

In the case of the shooter at Va-Tech, there’s little information to indicate he was associated in any way with Islam. On the other hand, there is plenty of reason to speculate at this point, and at this point, I plan on speculating all I want — contrary to what some posters have already told me privately, and publicly. I make no apologies for it either.

UPDATE: ONE MORE. Little Green Footballs is CONFIRMING my SUSPICIONS, as is FOX News on Hannity and Colms.

http://littlegreenfootballs.com/weblog/?entry=25171&only&rsssmall

Update: 19 April 2007, Well, well, well… let me see here, right from MSNBC…. READ THIS:

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/18187368/

Their titles are varied and hard to match with their content: “all of You”, “am al qaeda”, “anti terror”, “as time appr”, “blood of inno”, “congrad”, “could b victim.” The rambling comments are those of an angry young man who felt persecuted, who felt that the world is against him, who felt he was a victim of personal terrorism.

But five of them are called, “end”, “end 1”, “end 2”, “end car”, and “end some life.” And each of those appears to be among the last recorded, perhaps between the shootings.

Also, here’s another piece of evidence…. You all wanted to know why I thought his name might be connect somehow with Islam. Well, it was a gut-feeling, and I’ve learned to go with my gut on these things. Oh, and for the guy who said “the experts” — well, dude, you’re wrong. I work with those folks. Here’s another piece from the news:

http://uk.news.yahoo.com/rtrs/20070419/tts-uk-crime-usa-shooting-korea-ca02f96_1.html

“They bought the tiny shop with the money my son-in-law made in Saudi Arabia before he got married,” Kim said.

Thus you have some real, hard evidence now for connections with Islam.

Terrorism

(Received this in email yesterday. I don’t know the author at this time, will post name if I find it. Very good read, true and real. Please pass this on to your friends who oppose the war on terror.)

Sixty-three years ago, Nazi Germany had overrun almost all of Europe and hammered England to the verge of bankruptcy and defeat, and had sunk more than four hundred British ships in their convoys between England and America for food and war materials.

At that time the U.S. was in an isolationist, pacifist mood, and most Americans wanted nothing to do with the European or the Asian war.

Then along came Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941, and in outrage Congress unanimously declared war on Japan, and the following day on Germany, which had not yet attacked us. It was a dicey act. We had few allies.

France was not an ally, as the Vichy government of France quickly aligned itself with its German occupiers. Germany was certainly not an ally, as Hitler was intent on setting up a Thousand Year Reich in Europe. Japan was not an ally, as it was well on its way to owning and controlling all of Asia.

Together, Japan and Germany had long-range plans of invading Canada and Mexico, as launching pads to get into the United States over our northern and southern borders, after they finished gaining control of Asia and Europe. America’s only allies then were England, Ireland, Scotland, Canada, Australia, and Russia. That was about it. All of Europe, from Norway to Italy, except Russia in the East, was already under the Nazi heel.

America was certainly not prepared for war. America had drastically downgraded most of its military forces after W.W.I and throughout the depression (barely over), so that at the outbreak of WW2, army units were training with broomsticks because they didn’t have guns, and cars with “tank” painted on the doors because they didn’t have real tanks. And a huge chunk of our navy had just been sunk or damaged at Pearl Harbor.

Britain had already gone bankrupt, saved only by the donation of $600 million in gold bullion in the Bank of England, that was actually the property of Belgium, given by Belgium to England to carry on the war when Belgium was overrun by Hitler (a little known fact).

Actually, Belgium surrendered on one day, because it was unable to oppose the German invasion, and the Germans bombed Brussels into rubble the next day just to prove they could. Britain had already been holding out for two years in the face of staggering losses and the near decimation of its air force in the Battle of Britain, and was saved from being overrun by Germany only because Hitler made the mistake of thinking the Brits were a relatively minor threat that could be dealt with later, and first turning his attention to Russia, at a time when England was on the verge of collapse, in the late summer of 1940. ((Some real credit due, according to my readings, to the Brit fighter pilots in the asforesaid Battle of Britain. WPLjr))

Ironically, Russia saved America’s butt by putting up a desperate fight for two years, until the US got geared up to begin hammering away at Germany.

Russia lost something like 24 million people in the sieges of Stalingrad and Moscow alone… 90% of them from cold and starvation, mostly civilians, but also more than a 1,000,000 soldiers.

Had Russia surrendered, Hitler would have been able to focus his entire war effort against the Brits, then America. And the Nazis could possibly have won the war.

All of this is to illustrate that turning points in history are often dicey things. And now, we find ourselves at another one of those key moments in history .

There is a very dangerous minority in Islam that either has, or wants and may soon have, the ability to deliver small nuclear, biological, or chemical weapons, almost anywhere in the world.

The Jihadis, the militant Muslims, are basically Nazis in Kaffiyahs — they believe that Islam, a radically conservative form of Wahhabi Islam, should own and control the Middle East first, then Europe, then the world. And that all who do not bow to their will of thinking should be killed, enslaved, or subjugated. They want to finish the Holocaust, destroy Israel, and purge the world of Jews. This is their mantra.

There is also a civil war raging in the Middle East — for the most part not a hot war, but a war of ideas. Islam is having its Inquisition and its Reformation, but it is not known yet which will win — the Inquisitors, or the Reformationists.

If the Inquisition wins, then the Wahhabis, the Jihadis, will control the Middle East, the OPEC oil, and the US, European, and Asian economies.

The techno-industrial economies will be at the mercy of OPEC — not an OPEC dominated by the educated, rational Saudis of today, but an OPEC dominated by the Jihadis. You want gas in your car? You want heating oil next winter? You want the dollar to be worth anything? You better hope the Jihad, the Muslim Inquisition, loses, and the Islamic Reformation wins.

If the Reformation movement wins, that is, the moderate Muslims who believe that Islam can respect and tolerate other religions, and live in peace with the rest of the world, and move out of the 10th century into the 21st, then the troubles in the Middle East will eventually fade away, and a moderate and prosperous Middle East will emerge.
(The rational mind of today says this).

We have to help the Reformation win, and to do that we have to fight the Inquisition, i.e. the Wahhabi movement, the Jihad, Al Qaeda and the Islamic terrorist movements. We have to do it somewhere. And we can’t do it everywhere at once. We have created a focal point for the battle at a time and place of our choosing……..in Iraq. Not in New York, not in London, or Paris or Berlin, but in Iraq, where we are doing two important things:

(1) We deposed Saddam Hussein. Whether Saddam Hussein was directly involved in
9/11 or not, it is undisputed that Saddam has been actively supporting the terrorist movement for decades. Saddam was a terrorist. Saddam was a weapon of mass destruction, who is responsible for the deaths of probably more than a million Iraqis and two million Iranians.

(2) We created a battle, a confrontation, a flash point, with Islamic terrorism in Iraq. We have focused the battle. We are killing bad people, and the ones we get there we won’t have to get here. We also have a good shot at creating a democratic, peaceful Iraq, which will be a catalyst for democratic change in the rest of the Middle East, and an outpost for a stabilizing American military presence in the Middle East for as long as it is needed.

World War II, the war with the German and Japanese Nazis, really began with a “whimper” in 1928. It did not begin with Pearl Harbor. It began with the Japanese invasion of China. It was a war for fourteen years before America joined it. It officially ended in 1945 — a 17 year war — and was followed by another decade of US occupation in Germany and Japan to get those countries reconstructed and running on their own again .. a 27 year war.

World War II cost the United States an amount equal to approximately a full year’s GDP — adjusted for inflation, equal to about $12 trillion dollars. W.W.II cost America more than 400,000 killed in action, and nearly 100,000 still missing in action.

The Iraq war has, so far, cost the US about $160 billion, which is roughly what
9/11 cost New York. It has also cost about 3,000 American military lives, which is roughly equal to the 3,000 American and multi-national lives that the Jihad snuffed on 9/11. But the cost of not fighting and winning WWII would have been unimaginably greater — a world dominated by German and Japanese Nazism.

This is not 60 minutes TV shows, and 2 hour movies in which everything comes out okay. The real world is not like that. It is messy, uncertain, and sometimes bloody and ugly. Always has been, and probably always will be.

The bottom line is that we will have to deal with Islamic terrorism until we defeat it, whenever that is. It will not go away if we ignore it.

If the US can create a reasonably democratic and stable Iraq, then we have an “England” in the Middle East, a platform, from which we can work to help modernize and moderate the Middle East. The history of the world is the clash between the forces of relative civility and civilization, and the barbarians clamoring at the gates. The Iraq war is merely another battle in this ancient and never ending war. And now, for the first time ever, the barbarians are about to get nuclear weapons. Unless somebody prevents them.

We have four options:

1. We can defeat the Jihad now, before it gets nuclear weapons.

2. We can fight the Jihad later, after it gets nuclear weapons (which may be as early as next year, if Iran’s progress on nuclear weapons is what Iran claims it is)

3. We can surrender to the Jihad and accept its dominance in the Middle East, now, in Europe in the next few years or decades, and ultimately in America.

4. Or, we can stand down now, and pick up the fight later when the Jihad is more widespread and better armed, perhaps after the Jihad has dominated France and Germany and maybe most of the rest of Europe. It will, of course, be more dangerous, more expensive, and much bloodier.

If you oppose this war, I hope you like the idea that your children, or grandchildren, may live in an Islamic America under the Mullahs and the Sharia (Islamic law), an America that resembles Iran today.

The history of the world is the history of civilizational clashes, cultural clashes. All wars are about ideas, ideas about what society and civilization should be like, and the most determined always win. Those who are willing to be the most ruthless always win. The pacifists always lose, because the anti-pacifists kill them.

Remember, perspective is every thing, and America’s schools teach too little history for perspective to be clear, especially in the young American mind.

The Cold war lasted from about 1947 at least until the Berlin Wall came down in 1989. Forty-two years. Europe spent the first half of the 19th century fighting Napoleon, and from 1870 to 1945 fighting Germany

World War II began in 1928, lasted 17 years, plus a ten year occupation, and the US still has troops in Germany and Japan. World War II resulted in the death of more than 50 million people, maybe more than 100 million people, depending on which estimates you accept.

The US has taken more than 3,000 killed in action in Iraq. The US took more than 4,000 killed in action on ONE morning of June 6, 1944, the first day of the Normandy Invasion to rid Europe of Nazi Imperialism.

In W.W.II the US averaged 2,000 KIA a week — for four years. Most of the individual battles of WWII cost more Americans than the entire Iraq war has done so far.

But the stakes are at least as high … A world dominated by representative governments with civil rights, human rights, and personal freedoms.. … or a world dominated by a radical Islamic Wahhabi movement, by the Jihad, under the Mullahs and the Sharia (Islamic law).

Consider sending this to anyone who did not experience WW-II……and, also, consider sending to those who did.

NYT op-ed: nuke the asteroids! | World War 4 Report

NYT op-ed: nuke the asteroids! | World War 4 Report

This article I found while I was searching for news on the asteroid “Apophis” is nothing more than a complete blithering, blathering IDIOT trying to make the claim that Rusty Schweickart is pushing nukes in space.

First off, that isn’t what the former astronaut said. He does want to use them, and other methods, but not to “nuke asteriods”, but to boost them into another orbit.

There is NO conspiracy here, but there are a damned lot of fruitcakes on the planet who have nothing but ILL INTENT for America.

Come on Bill, get your head out of your ass.

One more fruitloop to add to the Conspiracy Theory Mix.

Bill Weinburg’s site says on their mission statement that, “We endeavor to expose the corporate agendas behind the new military interventions, and to find pro-autonomy, anti-militarist voices we can support in the countries under imperialist assault. We especially seek to loan solidarity to land-rooted, stateless, and indigenous peoples—the “Fourth World.”

Just a quiz, folks, what precisely is a “Fourth World”??

According to wikipedia Fourth World may refer to:

* Fourth World refers to “Least Developed Countries” or to other notably marginalized or oppressed groups, (ie. indigenous peoples) living in Third World or First World countries.

* Fourth World, the current world according to the Hopi belief system and Maya mythology; the coming age is the Fifth World.

* Jack Kirby’s Fourth World, a mythologically-oriented group of comic books created by Jack Kirby at DC Comics in the early 1970s.

* The Fourth World (album), the debut album of the band Kara’s Flowers.

* 4th World, a term coined by Manuel Castells to refer to black holes of social exclusion.

* Fourth World, the feudal fantasy land shared by the teenage protagonists of Peter Jackson’s film Heavenly Creatures.

* Fourth World, a term used by trumpeter Jon Hassell to describe a style of music employing modern technological treatments and influenced by various cultures and eras.

* Either of two Jon Hassell albums, Fourth World, Vol. 1: Possible Musics and Fourth World, Vol. 2: Dream Theory in Malaya, named for this concept

Being a reasonably intelligent person on a planet full of people who want to find hatred and evil in anything (Conspiracy Theorists are ALWAYS doing this) I guess I would assume the first statement true, but one never really knows with Kooks like the guy that wrote that article.

You see, I went to that site thinking it was a New York Times Op-Ed article for some reason, and I guess I didn’t look closely enough at the link, but I’ll be damned if I can figure out where someone can pull “It’s a government plot” to “expand nuclear weapons” capabilities and that any sort of attempt at space colonization would be used to keep the masses in some kind of slavery.

Good, God, these people are off their rockers.

War protests continue -AP Lying!

War protests continue, led by NYC - Yahoo! News

The Associated Press is LYING through it’s teeth, and keyboards in the above article. Their statement;

Demonstrators carried signs reading “Impeach Bush,” and “Not one more dollar, not one more death.”

No counter-demonstrators were visibly present, as they had been at a larger anti-war rally in Washington on Saturday.

Oh REALLY, Mr. Franklin, you are a LIAR. Don’t believe me? Look at this then….

LGF has this video too I think, here.

Just so you all know, Gathering of Eagles in DC is a very LARGE group of people, and if they aren’t visible from Satellite already then no one is looking, and the media is turning a blind eye on the whole thing. That, folks, is lying by omission.
