NYT op-ed: nuke the asteroids! | World War 4 Report
This article I found while I was searching for news on the asteroid “Apophis” is nothing more than a complete blithering, blathering IDIOT trying to make the claim that Rusty Schweickart is pushing nukes in space.
First off, that isn’t what the former astronaut said. He does want to use them, and other methods, but not to “nuke asteriods”, but to boost them into another orbit.
There is NO conspiracy here, but there are a damned lot of fruitcakes on the planet who have nothing but ILL INTENT for America.
Come on Bill, get your head out of your ass.
One more fruitloop to add to the Conspiracy Theory Mix.
Bill Weinburg’s site says on their mission statement that, “We endeavor to expose the corporate agendas behind the new military interventions, and to find pro-autonomy, anti-militarist voices we can support in the countries under imperialist assault. We especially seek to loan solidarity to land-rooted, stateless, and indigenous peoples—the “Fourth World.”
Just a quiz, folks, what precisely is a “Fourth World”??
According to wikipedia Fourth World may refer to:
* Fourth World refers to “Least Developed Countries” or to other notably marginalized or oppressed groups, (ie. indigenous peoples) living in Third World or First World countries.
* Fourth World, the current world according to the Hopi belief system and Maya mythology; the coming age is the Fifth World.
* Jack Kirby’s Fourth World, a mythologically-oriented group of comic books created by Jack Kirby at DC Comics in the early 1970s.
* The Fourth World (album), the debut album of the band Kara’s Flowers.
* 4th World, a term coined by Manuel Castells to refer to black holes of social exclusion.
* Fourth World, the feudal fantasy land shared by the teenage protagonists of Peter Jackson’s film Heavenly Creatures.
* Fourth World, a term used by trumpeter Jon Hassell to describe a style of music employing modern technological treatments and influenced by various cultures and eras.
* Either of two Jon Hassell albums, Fourth World, Vol. 1: Possible Musics and Fourth World, Vol. 2: Dream Theory in Malaya, named for this concept
Being a reasonably intelligent person on a planet full of people who want to find hatred and evil in anything (Conspiracy Theorists are ALWAYS doing this) I guess I would assume the first statement true, but one never really knows with Kooks like the guy that wrote that article.
You see, I went to that site thinking it was a New York Times Op-Ed article for some reason, and I guess I didn’t look closely enough at the link, but I’ll be damned if I can figure out where someone can pull “It’s a government plot” to “expand nuclear weapons” capabilities and that any sort of attempt at space colonization would be used to keep the masses in some kind of slavery.
Good, God, these people are off their rockers.
