Hugo Chavez Concludes Visit to China and Arrives in Malaysia

Havana, Aug 28 (ACN) Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez wound up a visit to China and arrived in Malaysia over the weekend where he was expected to discuss ways to boost trade an energy cooperation agreements.

In China, President Chavez signed important agreements to increase oil exports to the Asian nation, international agencies reported.

During his stay in the Malaysian capital Kuala Lumpur, the Venezuelan Head of State is expected to explore opportunities for bilateral cooperation in the fields of gas and the oil industry, as well as in the production of palm oil, a major commodity of Malaysia, Granma newspaper reported

Chavez is scheduled to meet with Malaysian Prime Minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi after attending a welcoming ceremony at the parliament and being received by King Sirajuddin Jamalullail.
